Summary: This work presents a study and implementation of a computational program for the design of
simply supported prestressed concrete beams according to NBR 6118: 2014. The developed
software is able to design of post-tensioned prestressed concrete members with bonded or
unbounded tendons. Fully, intermediary and partially prestressed concrete are contemplated.
For different loads, program calculates the initial prestress force and the instantaneous and
time-dependent losses. Also verifies the excessive compression, decompression limit state,
the limit state of cracking and the serviceability limit of excessive deflection. Furthermore
performs the ultimate limit states, flexural and shear force design. This program was
developed using Microsoft Excel e o Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications, based on the
software elaborated by Dominicini and Coelho (2014). It presents user graphical interface and
design report, and can be used as a didactic resource in the academic environment at
undergraduate and graduate levels. The results obtained are validated by comparison with
examples in the literature.
