Summary: The objective of this research is to obtain and gather information from Mata da Praia and Jardim da Penha neighborhoods (Vitória ES) in order to characterize and elaborate geological-geotechnical models of the region. To achieve this objective data from geotechnical investigations carried out over the last ten years were collected through Percussion Surveys (Standard Penetration Test SPT). The work consists of gathering the largest amount of characteristic information of the sedimentary layers of the area. After performing the layers recognition each drill hole were placed in their respective terrain using Google Earth software, making it possible to obtain UTM coordinates. In the third stage these data were copied into the Excel worksheet. This worksheet was exported from RockWorks in order to speed up the data release. All data collected up to this stage (Altitude, geographic coordinate, lithology, stratigraphy and NSPT), were grouped in the same file resulting in the last stage of the research WHERE the data were imported to RockWorks® software and processed. Finally, three geological-geotechnical models were generated, they are: i) lithological ii) stratigraphic iii) SPT (Nspt). For the lithological and stratigraphic three different models were generated, one for the drilling that hits the impenetrable to the borer, another by aggregating the drilling in which they were stopped by the customer and finally a model in which the sediments were reclassified and named according to NBR 6484: 2011. From the created models it was confirmed that the study region is part of the quaternary deposits that were formed in the Cenozoic era, proving that its stratigraphy is composed of fluvial delta sediments, denominated by fluvial and alluvial processes consisting of sand and gravel. We have also been able to verify the existence of layers of very soft clay in the vicinity of regions WHERE it has rocky outcrops. With all the results achieved, it was possible to understand the geological formation of the region and to better understand its lithology and stratigraphy.
